This recent news story illustrates how dangerous it is to be an investigative journalist in an environment when governments are keen to control the nature of POLITICAL REPRESENTATION. Every year hundreds of investigative journalists/photographers/ filmmakers are arrested or killed attempting to report news stories that uncover corruption or challenge representations offered by questionable political regimes.
