YEAR 12 LESSON TWENTY-ONE [6th March 12]: Homework.

Students discussed the Cross-Media question:
CONSIDER THE ROLE OF NEW TECHNOLOGY IN YOUR CASE STUDY. HOW HAS IT ENHANCED AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT AND ACTIVITY?
  • Evaluate how new technologies have been used in the media products from your case study to allow audiences to become more active consumers and/or producers.
  • Support your answer with reference to a range of examples from three media platforms.
Students discussed possible content that could be applied to this question. Before the end of the first session students were encouraged to enjoy the warmth of the beautiful Spring sunshine and appreciate the majesty of nature.

The second session involved work aimed at developing skills that will be required for MEST1 Section A. The class were offered the resource below.Click on link:
Students were asked the following questions:
  1. How is the media text constructed to engage the audience?
  2. How is alcohol represented in this text?
  3. What is the aim of the institution when offering this text?
Class discussion explored possible content before students produced a 40 minute written response.

HOMEWORK: Students should be feverishly constructing coursework. The deadline is March 27th. Furthermore, the next lesson will involve producing a timed response to the Cross-Media Study question that we discussed in today's session. Students need to create an essay structure that will allow them to produce a decent response.

I encourage all students to be aware of this Cross-Media revision resource that I created for Year 12 last year. Click on link below:
