Today's session began with a consideration of the cross-media study question:
'TO BE SUCCESSFUL, MEDIA INSTITUTIONS HAVE TO USE A VARIETY OF MEDIA PLATFORMS'. To what extent is this true of your cross-media study?
Class discussion explored the idea that the key platforms are broadcast and e-media with print media being almost irrelevant. Print media can be linked to the film documentary e-media but Channel Four tend to rely on the synergy between the broadcast media and the e-media.
The second phase of the lesson was a timed response to the question:

HOMEWORK: Prepare for a timed essay that will confront one of the two cross-media questions that we have considered in this week's lessons.
Produce coursework. Whether research or creative...students need to be creating their coursework.
