This session contained a HUGE class discussion that considered possible content for the essay:
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT NEW DIGITAL MEDIA HAS MADE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO HUMANITY?
Students shared their independent research and I thought that student contribution was OUTSTANDING.
HOMEWORK:
Students need to research possible content for the essay title:
EVALUATE WHETHER NDM OFFERS A THREAT OR AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEDIA PRODUCERS.
Students need to research how the BBC have adapted to the digital world and also research RUPERT MURDOCH'S 'THE DAILY' and how/why Murdoch is using PAYWALLS. Students also need to be aware of why MYSPACE failed!
